Evidence based research output data in combination with extensive consultation with university researchers, through research leaders, has been used to develop the extensive appendix document. The evidence base includes external research income, publications, postgraduate research students enrolled and completed in addition to evidence-based collaborations, market opportunity and cluster alignment. The analysis also took into account potential for developing significant strength in a particular area and strategic significance in terms of the University's academic vision, locational advantage and external developments locally, regionally and internationally.The appendix is a rich source of information which can be used for activities such as identifying new internal collaborative opportunities. We would like to thank the invaluable input made by research staff in contributing to the preparation of this document.
